Good Bye to Potter Terrace

Well, good bye to our first home that we bought together, 44490 Potter Terrace. Trev and I bought this house in November of 2001 and moved in in October of 2002, 2 weeks after returning from our honeymoon. It was a new home and was very special to us. Not only was it our first home that we bought ourselves, but we lived here with Raffy and brought both of our children home to this house. We have had great times here, great visitors and had wonderful neighbors.
I thought it was very symbolic that the last item left in the house when we moved out was my wedding dress. I had told Trev that I would move it out and he left it in the hall closet. So here are some pics below, including the last item to leave Potter Terrace...the wedding dress.

The empty kitchen. I loved that floor!
The empty dining area.
Empty living room.

Off to School....

Today Lindsay is sporting her first little pony tail to school. That is if you can call that little sprout an actual pony tail :) Since she has to be really watched with barettes & clips, we tried out the pony tail today. She looks so funny and got lots of compliments as we walked through school this morning.
Also, Tyler was wearing his new Summer 2008 tshirt from Kindercare today. He was VERY excited about this and even requested to wear it. So here are some pics of the 2 of them before we left :)

We're Moving!

Well, we finally ended up getting a house. We have been renting back our home and our time was starting to run out....after not getting the first two homes we put offers on, we got this one! The funny thing is that one of the first places we looked at was a new home with this builder. We had left these open in the back of our minds as an option....funny how we ended up back here 4 months later!
Its a 3 level townhome in Brambleton, VA. Its part of Ashburn. Its a new home..the financing fell through with the original buyer, so its ready to move in. We will close on July 9th and move sometime the following week. It gives us a lot more space than we have now and the first floor has a nice finished rec room with a full bath...perfect for guests! So hopefully we will have lots of people visit us now. We also like that its an end unit. It has a great sized yard in the back and on the side for a townhome. And its in a great community as well, complete with a new elementry school 2 blocks away. And we will have a garage and driveway now...woo hoo! Now we just have to start packing...should be an interesting task with 2 kids!!

Tyler's First Glove

Tyler finally got his first baseball glove over the weekend. He has been asking for one and since Target & Toys R Us don't carry right handed kids gloves in his size, we finally went to Modells and picked one up. To Tyler's delight it came with a baseball also. He carries these 2 items all over the place and loves them so much. Definately worth every penny :)

Standing Tall

Well we really have our hands full now. Lindsay is very into standing up. She will use anything to assist in standing! She love to be standing and is trying to start to take steps while holding onto things but hasn't quite gotten the 2nd foot to move like she would like it to :) She seems so tiny to me, so its kind of amusing to see her standing now. It seems like I keep saying 'She's getting so big'...but its so true!! The last one is a video of her in action.....complete with Tyler talking! Enjoy!

Father's Day 2008

Here are some pics from today, Father's Day! We had a nice day. We went out to breakfast and then hung around the house. We went to Kim & Jo's for dinner, which was delicious as usual! The kids got Trev the Nintendo Wii, which was a big hit with me also! I didn't realize how much fun bowling could be! Here are some pictures from today....thanks to Trev for being such a wonderful dad and husband. We are all very lucky to have him in our lives :)

Water Fun

To help beat the heat over the weekend, we hooked tried out Tyler's new slide that my coworker gave us. You attach the hose to it and it makes it a water slide. Tyler had SOO much fun. This was definately the highlight of his weekend!! Lindsay tested out the water too and wasn't sure what to think of it.
