A neighbor was kind enough to take some pics of Lindsay a few weeks ago. Lindsay wanted nothing to do with having her picture taken unfortunately! She got a few cute ones though when Lindsay was just messing around. Here are my favorites!

Visits with Grandparents

We had 2 busy weeks in a row. First my dad and Barb came down for a visit. Then my mom the following weekend. So the kids had 2 weekends of fun!

We went to Pumpkinville when my mom came down. Tyler was dying to do the Zipline. Trev and I weren't too sure about it, but my mom seemed to think he would be fine, so we gave in. Turns out it was pretty mild and Tyler had a blast :)

Some Kiddo Updates...

Well, as an update to Tyler's bike post, last night Trev took the training wheels off of Tyler's big bike, since he's been dying to try to ride that bike without the training wheels. And he did it!! So now he is beyond excited about his latest accomplishments. Yeah Tyler!! Pics to come soon!

Those of you who may not know...Lindsay is an eater! She has not rejected 1 food since birth. Pretty amazing considering Tyler can be quite picky. She likes anything...spicy, hot..you name it. So on Friday when her teacher gave them paper to draw pictures...what does Lindsay draw? Her family? A rainbow? A dog? No...she draws chicken nuggets! LOL. The teacher wrote at the top 'These are Lindsay's Chicken Nuggets'. haha. What a little character :)

What a Big boy!!

Tyler taught himself to ride his bike without training wheels! I was out with Lindsay at Target and Trev was talking to a neighbor. Trev turns around to see Tyler riding the bike without training wheels all by himself!! And he's really good at it. He's such a big boy! And he is thrilled to be riding without them!! Poor kid...its been raining here almost everyday for the last 4-5 days, so he's been bummed that he can't practice! This week it looks like it will be nice, which is good. Here he is in action.

Catching Up for our Busy Month of September!!

Ok, ok...I know I haven't updated the blog in quite a while and its very unlike me to do that!! So...here is a big catch up....at least for the month of September...will do October next week! We had a SUPER busy month. September has a lot going on for us..my bday, Lindsay's bday, our anniversary.....so it stays busy each year. Esp since they all fall in the same week! Here are some pics of what went on...of course they are in reverse order of when the events actually took place.


Event #1: Pink Concert.
My friend Christine had an extra ticket to see Pink, so I got to go. It was an amazing concert. Wow. Saw her at George Mason University, so it was close by. Plus we had awesome seats!

Event #2: Alycia's 4th Bday party at a little Farm.
Our old next door neighbor, Alycia, had her 4th bday party. Here's Trev with the kids at the farm.

Event #3: Lindsay's 2nd Bday party
Agh...my baby girl is 2!! Where has the time gone?? I can't even believe it. And she is very excited to let you know that she is 2 now! She didn't have a party but had 2 girls from across the street over for cake and pizza one night on the cute Elmo plates that she picked out. She was thrilled as she loves singing 'Happy Birthday'...esp when its sung to her!!

Event #4: Tracy, Nicole and Olivia come to visit!

Tracy, Nicole and Olivia came for the weekend. We had such a fun time. Its so nice to get to spend time with them and to see our kiddos playing together! Tyler adores Olivia and loves hugging her and carrying her around.

Event #5: End of Summer Pool Party
I thought it would be fun to rent out the pool/clubhouse for a little party. So we invited some friends and had a fun night (for the most part...lol) of eating, drinking, and swimming for some! I didn't do a good job of taking pics, but here are a few...

Event #6: My birthday!
My birthday turned out to be a fun time. While I was planning for a low key night with Tracy & Nicole....Roxanna surprised me by bringing over a cake she made. Then Will and Shanna and JK and Jen also came over and we ended up having a fun little night hanging and having drinks. I am sooo lucky to have such awesome friends!! Moving to our street was one of the best decisions we have ever made. I am so lucky to have you girls in my life! Love you all!!

Event #7: Spice Bush College Football Fall Block Party

We had our 2nd annual Fall Football Block party. What a great time! We all block off the street and gather together for some fun! Here are a few pics from the night.

Last week I had Lindsay home for the entire week. She had a small staph infection under her one arm and the doctor suggested keeping her home for a week this time. So Trev and I (and with the help of our sitter, Jill) juggled watching her. We had such a great week with her. During my time, I realized that Lindsay loved having the one on one time with us, which she rarely gets. So, I decided to try to start doing some one on one things with the kids as a result.

The first thing I did was sign each of them up for separate classes at the Little Gym. They both had a great time. While Lindsay had her class, Tyler went on a bike ride with Trev to the park. And during Tyler's class, Lindsay stayed home to play with Trev.
