Tiny Dancer

Well with Tyler taking ice skating lessons and starting baseball in a few weeks, Lindsay has asked to do something also. While her first request was to take 'princess lessons', we narrowed it down to two other choices...ballet or gymnastics. So I scheduled her for a trial ballet/tap class first. Gymnastics is next weekend. The place we tried for ballet was an hour long lesson with half being ballet and half being tap. She was all excited to put on her little leotard and go! However, I was pretty sad when we got there and I learned that the class was 'closed' meaning parents can't go in to watch! Boo! And apparently Lindsay loved the ballet but half way through the tap wasn't too excited because she didn't have tap shoes! Oh well! But she loved walking around with her little skirt on :)

We will try gymnastics next week and then try another place for ballet...one where I can watch and where the class is a little shorter!

Visit to PA in July

Time to catch up on the blog! First up are some pics from our trip to PA in July. Trev goes up every year to play golf with his dad and brother in a golf tournament at Bucknell. This year we came up the last 2 days to visit with everyone. Pics are in reverse order as usual :)

On the way home we stopped at Hershey and here's a pic of the kiddos in front of the racing car:
During our visit we went to Knobels. Its a decent sized amusement park about 30 mins from Trev's family's home. I don't have a picture of it, but Tyler rode on the Phoenix, which is a pretty serious wooden roller coaster. I was a bit nervous..but he did it!

Lindsay's Big Girl Bed!

Its a little bittersweet. After Lindsay actually asked to have a 'big bed like Tyler's' and being that she's getting big now, we converted her into her full size bed and out of the toddler bed. Sigh. No more cribs in our home. I shed a few tears over this the other week. So strange. No more high chairs, booster seats, swings, pack and plays and now cribs. My kids are getting big! Lindsay is loving her new bed. I am not done working on the room, will post some pics when I am complete. She has asked for 'princess' stuff in it, so I am trying to find some princess themed accents. But the bedding is on there for now.

Here is a pic of her room when we first moved in.
Now her big girl bed!
She loves it!
Awe!

Been a While...

Well, you know its been a while that I have updated the blog, when Trevor asks me to please update the blog! Truth is that not only have I just been busy with work, family, life, but also our computer crashed in early May and we lost all of our pictures from mid December until early May and I had no pics to update the blog with! With that being said...here are some recent ones!

First, for Mother's Day..I was a little spoiled this year. Not only did I get some sweet VIP seats to go and see Brad Paisley, but I also got new bedding and a new camera! So hopefully I will have some better pics to post!

Here are a few pics until I get a few more mins to update this!

Lindsay loves to play with her doll house. Here she is in action:
Love this cute bow I got her the other week! Its a good compromise since she likes to wear her hair 'down'.

In May our friends a few streets over had us over for their Memorial Day block party. Here are some pics from it :)

Here are some pics from the Brad Paisley / Darius Ruckert concert we went to in May. We had the BEST seats. It was a super fun night!

One of the biggest and most exciting things that has happened in the last 2 months is that Lindsay learned how to ride her 'big girl' Princess bike! Here she is in action:

Happy 5th Birthday Tyler!!

On Sunday Tyler has his 5th Birthday party. To say he was excited would be understating it! He was so happy that the day had finally come. He had it at a place in Ashburn, Jumping Jacks Sports. It has moonbounces and they also play games with the kids. He invited his class at school plus some other friends. He had a pirate theme for the party. Here are some pics below!

The 4 of us...prob should have taken this pic before the party started instead of as we were walking out the door!
Lindsay LOVED the moon bounces. Here she is jumping away!

He had a pirate theme. Thanks to our neighbors Mike & Heather for the cool pirate hat!
My coworker, Wendi, made this amazing pirate cake! It was crazy good! This picture doesn't do justice to how cool the edible map she made was. Thanks Wendi!!

Easter 2010

Not too much time to write this morning, but wanted to post some pics from the weekend. We had a fun weekend! Here are some pics below:

Although we didn't go anywhere special for Easter, I had the kids put on some 'nice' clothes for a few easter pics. I had wanted to get some professional pics done, but we didn't get a chance over the weekend, so hopefully we will do that soon.
Here's Lindsay!
Here's bot of the kiddos. Awe....

Here they are again...I love this picture!

Here are some pics from Easter morning. They had to find their baskets and all of the eggs...
With their loot:

Working on their baskets the night before...

Saturday morning was a lot of fun. Their friends had an Easter party for kids. They had an egg hunt, played games and we all had lunch. It was a very fun time!
