Disney!

Well our first real family vacation was a hit! And how couldn't it be..we went to Disney! The kids both loved flying, so that was a relief! And we all had a blast. Our hotel was amazing, we would definately stay there again. We got to ferry back and forth to the Magic Kingdom, which was super fun. We could also see the fireworks from our hotel beach and got to see a Boat Light Parade each night from the hotel beach also. It was perfect!! Tyler rode every ride possibly...even Space Mountain! He's my dare devil! Lindsay enjoyed the princesses, of course :)
Here are some pics to share...

Our hotel, the Wilderness Lodge, was amazing! We will definately stay there again!

Back To School

Last week was a fun week for the kids. Tyler started kindergarten. In the morning I drop him off at school, then drop off Lindsay. He then takes a bus to daycare. He was very excited to start school. His favorite parts are the bus and snack time. Go figure! ha! But he is doing well. We are trying to adjust to getting up a bit earlier in the morning though. That part is a bit rough on both of them. Lindsay is now in a preschool class and transitioned without any issues. She's been tired and cranky at night, but other than that, she is doing well and likes her teacher and friends :)

Last Summer Concert

In the summer, we have summer concerts every other Thursday in our development. Its one of our favorite things to do as a family. This year we only missed one. We went in the humidity and all this summer! We had the last one the other week and it was the best one of the summer. The kids had a blast!

Tiny Dancer

Well with Tyler taking ice skating lessons and starting baseball in a few weeks, Lindsay has asked to do something also. While her first request was to take 'princess lessons', we narrowed it down to two other choices...ballet or gymnastics. So I scheduled her for a trial ballet/tap class first. Gymnastics is next weekend. The place we tried for ballet was an hour long lesson with half being ballet and half being tap. She was all excited to put on her little leotard and go! However, I was pretty sad when we got there and I learned that the class was 'closed' meaning parents can't go in to watch! Boo! And apparently Lindsay loved the ballet but half way through the tap wasn't too excited because she didn't have tap shoes! Oh well! But she loved walking around with her little skirt on :)

We will try gymnastics next week and then try another place for ballet...one where I can watch and where the class is a little shorter!

Visit to PA in July

Time to catch up on the blog! First up are some pics from our trip to PA in July. Trev goes up every year to play golf with his dad and brother in a golf tournament at Bucknell. This year we came up the last 2 days to visit with everyone. Pics are in reverse order as usual :)

On the way home we stopped at Hershey and here's a pic of the kiddos in front of the racing car:
During our visit we went to Knobels. Its a decent sized amusement park about 30 mins from Trev's family's home. I don't have a picture of it, but Tyler rode on the Phoenix, which is a pretty serious wooden roller coaster. I was a bit nervous..but he did it!

Lindsay's Big Girl Bed!

Its a little bittersweet. After Lindsay actually asked to have a 'big bed like Tyler's' and being that she's getting big now, we converted her into her full size bed and out of the toddler bed. Sigh. No more cribs in our home. I shed a few tears over this the other week. So strange. No more high chairs, booster seats, swings, pack and plays and now cribs. My kids are getting big! Lindsay is loving her new bed. I am not done working on the room, will post some pics when I am complete. She has asked for 'princess' stuff in it, so I am trying to find some princess themed accents. But the bedding is on there for now.

Here is a pic of her room when we first moved in.
Now her big girl bed!
She loves it!
Awe!
